So I liked this version of Flash Thompson a lot better than the one in the 2002 Spider-Man because he had humanizing moments like this one instead of being a two-dimensional jock stereotype.

#wow this is back

at the end flash is almost holding his hands, not in a slash way, but in a i get it man, i understand kind oh way and it always makes my insides kinda shimmy

Tyrone’s Favourite Films Of 2012 - 17) The Amazing Spider-Man (7/10)

I get that Sony made this to keep the rights of Spider-Man but could they have made a better movie please?
I heard someone say Tobey Maguire plays a better Spider-man while Andrew Garfield plays a better Peter Parker and I have to agree with that person. In terms of this film, it’s never going to escape being compared to the original. Viewing it as a film in it’s own right, then it’s good but not amazing (having the word amazing in your film title will only work if your film is actually amazing).
The actors do their job as well as you can ask them too but the problem with this film is that there’s nothing new really. If you watched the first one you watched this one. There are some slight differences yes but not that much.
As for this film being more faithful to the comics, it gets some things right which the original didn’t but fails in other area’s. I mean where is Harry Osborn? Then we have the Lizard who was meant to be Peter Parker’s teacher. The appeal of that is then that Peter Parker has to fight against someone who has a real connection to him. Having them make Curt Connors an old work friend of Peter’s dad’s loses that connection and as such makes the Lizard a very plain and boring villain. If he’d died we wouldn’t have cared. That’s not how the character should be portrayed.
Nevertheless the Spider-man origin story is a good one and now that they’ve set up this new trilogy maybe they’ll start to focus and raise the bar so the next one can be a truly amazing film but this film was not amazing. It was The Adequate Spider-Man
