According to producers, the line “That’s a lovely, lovely voice” was improvised by Tom Hardy. Bruce Wayne responding “No you’re not” to Catwoman saying she felt sorry for Bruce losing his fortune was also improvised by Christian Bale.

#so let me tell you my feelings about this particular scene #john blake is standing outside of a bus staring at what he thinks is a nuclear explosion that is going to kill everyone he knows #everyone he’s loved #everyone who has meant a damn to him #but where is he? outside the bus #what is his last thought? to comfort the boys #to give them hope #THIS is why Bruce leaves him the suit #it’s not because he’s an orphan with no connections #it’s because when he’s about to die and is staring down his own mortality that appears to bet he last thing on his mind #for all his anger and all of his rage he thinks first of others #it’s not true the batman can be anyone #the batman is a servant of gotham #someone who will protect those who can’t protect themselves #so john will train and john will prepare before putting on the suit #but he was already a batman long before bruce gave him the suit #he’d been a hero in the shadows #john blake had always been a dark knight
